ALAMEDA – The Raiders running game is a bye-week project of high importance. Their ground game ranks No. 27 with just 90 yards per game, a disappointing sum considering Latavius Murray’s raw talent, an athletic offensive line and coordinator Bill Musgrave’s penchant for helping feature backs produce.
Watching the Raiders run on tape evokes conflicting emotions among its chief participants. There’s frustration in a lack of steady production, and confidence that they’re close to doing so.
There are some technical things holding the ground effort back.
“Attention to detail is key, and that starts with me,” Murray said.
