During the 2018 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders swung a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver Martavis Bryant. Deemed expendable after the rise of JuJu Smith-Schuster in Pittsburgh, the Raiders sent a third round pick for the speedy wideout, expecting him to round out their wide receiver group.
During the team’s minicamp and organized team activities, Bryant showcased his athleticism, getting everyone in the organization excited about what he brings to the table. Had he stayed out of trouble in Pittsburgh, he could have been an elite player for them, but suspensions really derailed his career there.
