Undrafted rookie Eddy Pineiro was supposed to be the team’s kicker this season. They brought in Mike Nugent in training camp to replace left-footed kicker Giorgio Tavecchio who was the team’s kicker last year. But it was clearly Pineiro’s job to lose. Then Pineiro was lost to an injury and the job was Nugent’s.
Now Nugent is injured. The veteran kicker suffered a hip injury in the team’s game in Miami, and Jon Gruden is concerned he may not be able to go against the Browns this week.
