Reggie McKenzie said he’s kept the advice to a minimum when counseling his son Kahlil, an aspiring NFL defensive tackle participating in the scouting combine.
“There’s not a whole lot more I can tell him he didn’t already know,” the Raiders general manager said. “He’s an extroverted personality so he’s always talking to people — unlike his father. But he’s fired up for this.”
Kahlil McKenzie, a 6-foot-2, 320-pound defensive tackle from Tennessee, met the media Saturday and was talkative as advertised. Yet he showed he’s got some of his father’s reticence when he danced around questions regarding any interest the Raiders may have in his services.
