Monday, after introducing yet another new pair of leaders for his organization, Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis joked with reporters that he doesn’t want to bring in a new regime on a yearly basis.
It’s really not funny.
That’s basically what Davis has been doing. He has fired six full-time head coaches and five general manager in just more than 13 years of ownership. He has hired a new coach and new general manager three times since 2022.
So, as Pete Carroll takes over as the head coach and John Spytek takes over as the general manager, the Raiders must hope that they have finally got it right and they can finally work toward building a reputable, winning program.
