Mario Edwards, Jr. still on target to make season debut vs. Colts

ALAMEDA, Calif. –All indications point toward defensive end Mario Edwards, Jr. being activated off Injured Reserve in time to play in the Oakland Raiders’ Christmas Eve game against the Indianapolis Colts.

But Raiders coach Jack Del Rio was not ready to make that pronouncement just yet on Thursday afternoon.

“We’ll work through that,” Del Rio said. “We had a good week of practice. Obviously, you have to make a (roster) move…before we can activate him and play him. I think he’s had a good week.”

Edwards has been on I.R. since the start of the season after suffering a hip injury in Oakland’s preseason opener at the Arizona Cardinals.
