Mario Edwards Jr. responding well to first action in a year for Raiders

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Five days after playing in his first regular-season game in more than a year, Oakland Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. said his body was responding well.

“It feels good,” Edwards said in the Raiders locker room Thursday. “Felt good, just warming up to it. This week will be more snaps and I’m comfortable with that.”

Edwards began the season on injured reserve after injuring a hip in the Raiders' preseason opener at the Arizona Cardinals on Aug.
