In late September, just as his suspension was coming to an end, Marcel Reece was surprising released by the Raiders.
After sticking with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2008, it wasn’t until 2010 when Reece rose to prominence. In the six seasons he was Oakland’s starting fullback, he made the Pro Bowl four times, was an All-Pro once, a “Commitment to Excellence” award winner, and he also served as a Team Captain.
Reece was a player who often was considered underutilized, but that didn’t stop him from becoming a fan favorite, as he was a player who very appreciated embodied what being a Raider was all about.
