CHICAGO — Khalil Mack picks other teams’ poison, it turns out. The Raiders’ young star said he decides whether he puts his hand in the dirt as a defensive end, or stays upright in more of the outside linebacker role he had last season.
He can decide play to play, the Raiders’ second-year player said.
“It’s optional, wherever I feel more comfortable. We switch it side to side when we see what the offense is trying to do,” Mack said.
After a dominant preseason and two so-so games, Mack finally broke through in Sunday’s 27-20 win in Cleveland.
