The worst team in the AFC West was picking 7th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and with that pick, the Los Angeles Chargers made Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams their selection.
Williams is a quality wide receiver, but there are questions about his upside. He’s a decent athlete at best, and while he’s a big bodied wide receiver, he has a rather poor vertical jump. 6’4″ and 218 pounds and a vertical of 32 1/2 inches, which since 1999, only ranks in the 16th percentile among wide receivers who have participated in that drill at the position.
