SAN DIEGO -- Latavius Murray was sidelined by turf toe the last time the Oakland Raiders faced the San Diego Chargers, the Raiders prevailing 34-31 at the Oakland Coliseum on Oct. 9.
And while the Chargers have a decent run defense -- it is ranked No. 7 in the NFL, allowing 91.9 yards per game -- Murray should have a pivotal role Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium as the Raiders attempt to clinch their first playoff berth since 2002. Particularly with quarterback Derek Carr's right pinkie finger still taped up three weeks after he dislocated it in two places on an errant snap from center.
