Sunday the Raiders wrapped up their rookie minicamp. That three-day camp is as much about getting the team’s rookies on the field as it is about giving opportunities to other undrafted players via a tryout. One of those players trying out for the team was defensive tackle Ronald Ollie who is famous for his part on the Netflix docuseries Last Chance U. He announced Monday he has signed on with the team.
The series followed Ollie in its first season which focuses on the Junior College experience. Ollie attended East Mississippi Community College with designs on getting noticed by 4-year school and earning a football scholarship.
