Since becoming the general manager of the Raiders franchise, Mike Mayock has made a concerted effort to get better in the secondary. From using first round picks, to bringing in veterans via free agency, Mayock has done his best to revamp a group that has been an Achilles Heel for the franchise for a while now.
In 2019, he drafted Mississippi State safety Johnathan Abram in the first round, and then Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen in the second. Later on, he brought in Houston cornerback Isaiah Johnson, who had to sit out most of his rookie season with an injury.
