Sunday, after a blowout loss at the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas coach Jon Gruden said he was concerned about several injuries the team suffered in the game, but Monday, it appears the issues aren’t as serious as first thought.
Gruden confirmed an NFL Media report that star running back Josh Jacobs has a sprained ankle, but Gruden said Jacobs told him he is confident he can play Sunday at the New York Jets. Clearly, Jacobs’ progress will be monitored throughout the week.
Gruden also said he is hopeful rookie cornerback Damon Arnette can soon return from a concussion he suffered Sunday.
