INDIANAPOLIS — Jon Gruden is growing irritated with the conclusions some people are jumping to about the Raiders and Kyler Murray.
Gruden praised the Heisman Trophy winner at the Senior Bowl last month, and some on the internet deduced the Raiders might exchange Derek Carr for the dynamic soon-to-be rookie from Oklahoma. Then he revealed Thursday, unprompted, that the Raiders met Wednesday night with Murray and Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, arguably the two top quarterbacks in this year’s draft.
So was that gamesmanship to increase the trade value of the No. 4 pick since the Raiders have said Carr is their guy?
