When the Oakland Raiders selected Khalil Mack with the fourth overall pick in 2014, nobody was really sure what kind of player they were getting. Sure, he dominated at the collegiate level for Buffalo, but it is not like they are some juggernaut playing against Power Five schools every week.
Since donning the Silver and Black, Mack has established himself as one of the best players in the NFL. The 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, the 27-year old is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and the Raiders need to make sure they do whatever they can to retain his services for the foreseeable future.
