With Khalil Mack now gone to the Chicago Bears, the Oakland Raiders are going to have to replace All-Pro production at defensive end. And as I look down this roster, I confused as to who exactly on this team they expect to fill this role. Over this preseason I’ve written quite a few positive things about the performance of the defensive line, but it has always been in context.
The reality is, despite how good the d-line looked, they were playing against backup offensive lines. And if you’ve watched football for a while, you know the gap between a starting lineman and a backup is usually pretty massive.
