Key Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson is making his training camp debut.
Raiders’ head coach Antonio Pierce said the second-round pick from Oregon, who is expected to vie to be a starting guard, would practice on a limited basis Wednesday night at the workout at Allegiant Stadium.
Powers-Johnson hasn’t practice since the OTA sessions in June, reportedly because of a concussion. He will likely be brought along slowly since he has misses three weeks of his first NFL training camp. Pierce indicated Wednesday night Powers-Johnson likely won’t be ready to be a starter Week 1 at the Los Angeles Chargers on September 8.
