Ken Norton uses boxing when coaching Raiders defense

ALAMEDA -- In his job as the Raiders' defensive coordinator, Ken Norton Jr. borrows from his father's sport.

Every Raiders defensive scheme is named for a heavyweight boxing champion."We have Tyson, we have Holyfield, we have Ali, we have Foreman, we have Frazier," Norton said.He's even incorporated a "Fury," named after Tyson Fury, currently a heavyweight champ from the United Kingdom.Norton's father fought Muhammad Ali three times. He fought George Foreman once. He never fought Joe Frazier, because they were friends.Last season, Norton's first as a coordinator, he set up the Raiders' season as a 16-round boxing match.
