Ken Norton is a believer in DJ Hayden

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders have much invested in D.J. Hayden.

New defensive coordinator Ken Norton thinks the cornerback is starting to pay dividends for the team. Hayden, the No. 12 overall draft pick in 2013, has been a regular starter this year after missing a total of 14 games in his first two NFL seasons.

Norton said he believes Hayden is making big strides, especially in recent weeks. Norton said Hayden's coverage has been "tighter" and opposing teams aren't challenges him on deep passes as much as there were at the start of the season, making Hayden more confident.
