One of the Kansas City Chiefs veteran safeties will not be returning to the Chiefs Kingdom in 2016 as Husain Abdullah has made the difficult decision to step away from the game. Mounting injuries leading him to a decision that will end his career and weaken the Chiefs’ depth at safety going forward after the retirement of a player who filled many roles for the team.
Abdullah, who already has stepped away from the game before to make the Hajj pilgrimage before coming to the Chiefs, cited having to sit out for a large chunk of 2015 with a concussion as one of the motivating factors in his decision.
