In a shocking move before the Oakland Raiders third preseason game on Sunday night, young safety Dowling has been cut by the team early. One of the first notable cuts the team has made from the 90 man roster, as the 23-year-old safety has been waived by the team according to an announcement by the Raiders on Saturday afternoon that has shocked many as after getting an interception during the Preseason Week 2 game against the Vikings most thought Dowling was a lock to make the roster.
However the reason behind Dowling’s cut has been reported as it is looking like maturity issues were the reason that the Raiders have parted ways with the 2014 seventh rounder and not the talent that many saw in the former Western Kentucky product.
