ORLANDO -- While the Oakland Raiders have yet to formally announce either the re-signing of free agent Reggie Nelson or the release of tight end Clive Walford, the moves are only the latest for the busiest team in the NFL since the new league began two weeks ago.
And the Raiders were making moves before free agency began.
Truly it takes a tracker to keep pace with how coach Jon Gruden, with an assist from general manager Reggie McKenzie, has been rebuilding the Raiders roster. Just be careful when asking him if he is truly trying to take the Raiders back to 1998, as he said at the combine last month.
