The NFL has made a concerted effort to honor military members and thank them for what they’ve put on the line for their communities. Players, coaches, and staff have strived to give back to those who have fought for our freedom. Oakland Raiders long snapper Jon Condo was named as one of 32 nominees for the sixth annual Salute to Service Award presented by USAA. This honor was created to acknowledge individuals who have measurably demonstrated their appreciation and gratitude toward the military.
Condo has supported a variety of military groups including, the Sentinels of Freedom, a nonprofit organization that assists severely wounded and injured post 9/11 veterans in their efforts to become productive and self-sufficient members of their communities as they transition back into civilian life.
