PHOENIX -- The Oakland Raiders do not plan on moving to Las Vegas until 2020, and the first open date for a Super Bowl is not until 2022.
So could Raiders coach Jack Del Rio envision a title game being played at the $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat dome stadium expected to open in three years?
“It would be a natural, I would think,” Del Rio said Tuesday at the AFC coaches breakfast during the NFL owners meetings, a day after the Raiders won the vote to relocate to Southern Nevada by a 31-1 count.
“That would be almost an automatic, because when you’re designing it, you’ve got all the things you look for with the infrastructure, the hotels, the restaurants, everything that you need and would want, close proximity for all the events and things, the space to do all the events, and the beautiful weather.
