Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio was beaming a day after pass-rusher Khalil Mack put together one of the best individual defensive performances in team history.
After he had a chance to digest the tape, Del Rio was clearly blown away with what the second-year player did in Oakland’s 15-12 upset win at Denver. This is exactly what Mack did to Denver: five sacks in the second half, including one for a safety.
“It was a special, special performance,” Del Rio said. “He just really was unblockable most of the day. Whether it was against the run or the pass, he was showing up in the backfield being very disruptive.
