Jack Del Rio likes the Raiders' fight

In his first eight games as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, Jack Del Rio has made it clear that he’s not big on silver linings.

Del Rio, with nine years of NFL head coaching experience, is pretty flat-lined in his approach: You either win or you lose. Winning is good, losing not so much. However, after a hard-fought 38-35 loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday, Del Rio did allow himself to appreciate his young team’s gumption in the game.

The Raiders fought back from a 35-21 deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 35 in the final minute before surrendering a last-second, game-winning field goal.
