One of the few negatives to come out of the Oakland Raiders’ dominating, 37-29, win at San Diego on Sunday was a rash of penalties.
Oakland committed 14 penalties for 136 yards. Victory or not, that’s something that Del Rio wants to see decrease.
“I would say there are a couple we can definitely clean up,” Del Rio said. “We don’t want anything pre-snap. Where we had a couple of those pre-snap penalties, we certainly want to eliminate that. And then where we have aggressive penalties, they are going to come. We just want to make sure that we’re being smart, that they are coming in good, physical play and not at the end of the play or as an addition to the play, those kinds of things.
