ALAMEDA – Karl Joseph’s toe injury might take some time to heal. The first-round Raiders rookie missed Wednesday’s padded practice, and hasn’t performed football activities since injuring his toe in a Dec. 4 victory over Buffalo.
Head coach Jack Del Rio hasn’t provided updates on Joseph's ailment or offered a timetable for his return.
Nate Allen played every defensive snap at strong safety against Kansas City, and is fully capable of doing so again Sunday at San Diego is asked.
The Raiders are also missing edge rusher Shilique Calhoun (knee) and defensive tackle Stacy McGee (ankle).
