OAKLAND – Raiders cornerback Neiko Thorpe was questionable to play Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. A neck injury saw to that.
He was ruled inactive just before the O.co Coliseum contest, leaving a void at the No. 3 cornerback. It seems likely Taylor Mays will start for injured strong safety Nate Allen, leaving David Amerson and TJ Carrie as mainstays at cornerback.
That could leave more snaps for 2013 first-round pick DJ Hayden, who hasn’t played much over the past three weeks. Seventh-round rookie Dexter McDonald has played snippets here and there, and remains a developmental prospect.
