Last week Reggie McKenzie was fired by Mark Davis, thus ending his 7-year tenure as Raiders General Manager. But he may not be unemployed long. Immediately upon his firing, he was named a recommended general manager to hire by the NFL’s career-development advisory panel according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
McKenzie was named NFL Executive of the year in 2016, after helping build the Raiders into a playoff team, thanks in large part to his 2014 draft class which included Khalil Mack, Derek Carr, and Gabe Jackson. Also playing a large role were free agent additions Rodney Hudson, Kelechi Osemele, and Michael Crabtree.
