U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which usually makes headlines for its raids on undocumented immigrants or threats to do so, has a new target in the Bay Area:
Oakland Raiders tailgate parties.
According to a news release, ICE's Homeland Security Investigations unit confiscated nearly $11,000 worth of counterfeit merchandise at the Coliseum during last week's "Monday Night Football" game.
Tatum King, special agent in charge of HSI San Francisco and Northern California, said in a statement that the unit "is committed to conducting intellectual property theft investigations throughout the year."
