OAKLAND — Disclaimer: Obviously hindsight is 20-20. Jon Gruden had his reasons for making each of the decisions below, and this isn’t to knock him for players that have gone on to perform better elsewhere. Some, like Bruce Irvin and Marquette King, have been equally or even less ineffective in their new uniforms.
Simply for fun, or something like that, let’s have a look at some notable ex-Raiders Gruden either traded, waived or released and how they’re faring (or fared, in the free agent King’s case) with their new teams in 2018.
Traded
Khalil Mack, Bears
The deal: The Raiders gave Mack, a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick to the Bears for a 2019 first-rounder, a 2020 first-rounder, a 2020 third-rounder and a 2019 sixth-rounder.
