It was a happy homecoming for two members of the Chiefs’ secondary.
Tyvon Branch, who played his first seven NFL seasons with the Raiders, had the game-clinching pick-six, and Oakland native Marcus Peters had an interception that he returned 58 yards to set up the go-ahead score.
“I had a lot of good years out here,” Branch said. “Raider Nation showed me a lot of love.”
Peters was jacked up even before the game and was hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty after the Raiders’ go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter. But the interception, his fifth of his rookie season, made for a great return home for the McClymonds High graduate.
