Is Ronnie Lott the man who can help keep the Raiders in Oakland?
Lott and another former Raider, ex-NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, are part of a bid from a group of predominantly African-American investors who would like to help build a stadium to keep the franchise in Oakland, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday.Raiders owner Mark Davis, frustrated in his ability to get something done at the present Coliseum site, has said he will move the franchise to Las Vegas if funding for a new stadium project is approved.Included in the Lott and Peete group is Atlanta developer Egbert Perry, chairman of the board of Fannie Mae and CEO of a real estate firm that is one of the largest African-American owned businesses in the United States.
