Tom Flores is as stunned as anyone about the impending change in the Raiders’ broadcasting booth.
But a report saying Oakland executives are replacing play-by-play announcer Greg Papa with Brent Musburger left Flores wondering about his job status Wednesday.
“I am assuming I still have a job myself,” said the color commentator on the Raiders radio network.
It appears Flores, 81, will partner with Musburger, 79, when the preseason begins in the coming weeks. Flores, a former Raiders coach and player, had created a respected broadcast team with Papa for two decades.
“He’s going to be missed,” Flores said from his home in Indian Wells.
