ALAMEDA, Calif. -- While the late Ken Stabler will officially be presented by his former Oakland Raiders coach for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 6, John Madden will not be in Canton, Ohio.
Madden, a Hall of Famer who is reportedly recovering from hip surgery, will introduce Stabler in a video presentation while one of Stabler’s favorite targets will be on the stage to unveil his bust.
Fred Biletnikoff, who was inducted into Canton in 1988, will do the honors, Stabler’s longtime partner, Kim Bush, told ESPN.com.
“We are ready; we will celebrate for him,” Bush wrote of Madden in a text.
