Former Raiders WR Michael Crabtree to be released after one season in Baltimore

In December, the Raiders moved up the 2019 roster bonus for Jordy Nelson, offering a vote of confidence for the 33-year-old receiver that he would be part of their plans next season. Meanwhile the man he replaced in Oakland is getting released.

Schefter first reported it and it was confirmed by Ian Rapoport, though it isn’t a big surprise. We had him on the list of likely cap casualties this offseason. Jamison Hensley who covers the Ravens for ESPN noted Crabtree’s salary along with some dropped passes as reason for his release.
