Former Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski retires, per report

A Raiders legend has quietly ended his career.

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who played the first 18 seasons of his 19-year career in Oakland, announced his retirement Sunday in an interview with ESPN.

Sebastian Janikowski told ESPN that, after 19 seasons, he is retiring from NFL at the age of 41: “It was a good run. I still think of the Super Bowl – it still hurts.” He plans to turn into a cab driver, taking his 3 girls to school. Seabass made more $ than any K in NFL history.

Janikowski played 268 games for the Raiders, making more than 80 percent of his field goal attempts in silver and black.
