Former Raiders DT Antonio Smith winds up in Super Bowl with Broncos after being released

SAN JOSE _ No one had to tell Antonio Smith to enjoy himself when the Broncos were introduced on Opening Night at SAP Pavilion. He was the life of the locker room in bad times as well as good in his one year with the Raiders.

Smith, who played in 16 games as a reserve defensive end, is playing in a reduced role for the Broncos after starting 16 games with the Raiders. Still, he managed 2.5 sacks, just a half sack less than he had with the Raiders.

One year into a two-year contract worth $9 million, Smith was released after the Raiders hired Jack Del Rio.
