Byron Young has drawn some good reviews during the Las Vegas Raiders training camp. Reportedly, he was taking first-team reps while John Jenkins missed practice at the beginning of camp and Young was seemingly taking advantage of the opportunity by playing well.
However, in the Raiders’ first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, the second-year pro from Alabama failed to deliver. He earned an ugly 30.5 grade from Pro Football Focus and even more concerning, posted a mark of 33.8 against the run which is supposed to be the defensive tackle’s calling card.
