Hue Jackson has known some tough times during his tenure in football. He was the Raiders head coach when owner Al Davis died in 2011. The day after Davis passed, Jackson coached the Raiders to a win over Houston. The image of Jackson after that game, down on one knee and crying his heart out, is not easily forgotten.
On the opposite end of the the Times That Try Men’s Souls continuum, Jackson recently endured two brutal seasons coaching the Cleveland Browns. The last time he was in the news was in June when he jumped in Lake Erie to satisfy a bet — he promised fans last summer that the Browns would improve on their 2016 record of 1-15.
