ALAMEDA — Erik Harris will race to his phone right after Sunday’s game in Miami.
No news is good news for the 28-year-old Raiders safety, who is currently scheduled to welcome his fourth child on Monday in Pennsylvania.
“Hopefully everything works out,” he said in the Raiders locker room Thursday. “It usually does.”
The current plan is for Harris to play Sunday’s 1 p.m. EST game against the Dolphins, fly to Pennsylvania for the Monday birth of his boy instead of back to Oakland with the team, then fly back to Oakland Tuesday. When Harris’ wife, Theresa, spoke to the Bay Area News Group for a separate story in August, she outlined that exact plan as her ideal sequence of events for Sept.
