The NFL career of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is over, after he retired from the league via social media on Thursday. DRC had most recently been a member of the Oakland Raiders, where he played in a handful of games this season, but did not record a single snap on Sunday.
Brought in to provide depth, and veteran leadership in this Raiders secondary, Rodgers-Cromartie went from a starter for the Silver and Black, to someone who could not even get on the field. The Raiders have been using a bunch of different players in different roles over the past couple of weeks, and maybe DRC had enough for Paul Guenther and this Raiders coaching staff.
