ALAMEDA, Calif. – The exodus from Oakland continued on Day 2 of NFL free agency as a former first-round draft pick became the fifth of the Oakland Raiders 13 unrestricted free agents to go elsewhere.
Cornerback DJ Hayden, who was the Raiders’ first-round draft pick in 2013, has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5.25 million with the Detroit Lions, pr ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.
Hayden joins linebackers Malcolm Smith (San Francisco 49ers) and Daren Bates (Tennessee Titans), defensive tackle Stacy McGee (Washington) and safety Brynden Trawick (Titans) as former Raiders, while Oakland had yet to strike a deal with any other free agents.
