The Oakland Raiders re-signed former Cal kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.
Tavecchio was with the Raiders in training camp and kicked two 47-yard field goals in their final preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Could Tavecchio be Sebastian Janikowski's replacement?
Janikowski, who was a first-round pick for the Raiders in 2000, finished his 16th season Sunday. His cap hit for 2016 would be $3.6 million, putting him among the 10 highest paid Raiders.
Janikowski attempted 22 field goals last season, the lowest total of his career. He did not miss a field goal or extra point all season.
