In an epic second-half matchup of red-haired quarterbacks, Matt McGloin of the Raiders outdueled Andy Dalton of the Bengals.
McGloin, subbing for injured starter Derek Carr, was 23-for-30 in the second half, with two touchdowns. Dalton, sitting comfy on his team’s big lead, was 7-for-11 for 67 yards.
Other than that, it was not a great day for the Raiders’ quarterbacks. Carr left the field after about five minutes of the second quarter with an injured hand.
McGloin had some moments, but was thrust into a no-win situation.
