OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Raiders' playoff fortunes may have taken a turn for the worse after quarterback and NFL MVP candidate Derek Carr suffered a broken fibula.
Carr was injured on a fourth-quarter sack by Indianapolis Colts outside linebacker Trent Cole when Cole grabbed Carr by the ankle and rolled over him.
Matt McGloin replaced Carr and hit Amari Cooper for a much-needed third-down conversion to ice the game as the Raiders survived, 33-25, after leading 33-7.
McGloin has started six games in his career, though none since 2013.
