While Derek Carr enjoys a breakout season for the Raiders, the quarterback picked 14 spots earlier in the 2014 draft, Johnny Manziel, finds himself out of football. Carr, however, thinks Manziel could come back to football.

Last week, during an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Peter King for a “Football Night in America” feature on NBC, Carr spoke highly of Manziel, the troubled former Browns quarterback. Carr also mentioned he would welcome the chance to talk to Manziel and “be a friend to him.
