Rich Gannon had a lot more success in his five years as the Raiders starting quarterback. In large part because he was an 11-year NFL veteran when he joined the Raiders. Carr was drafted by the Raiders and has been through some rough years for the franchise, now entering his second rebuild.
Carr in in his fifth year as the Raiders starter and Sunday surpassed the last great Raiders quarterback to move into second in Raiders history in passing yards.
Gannon finished with 17,585 passing yards with the Raiders. Carr’s 285 yards Sunday night against the Chiefs, gives him 17,802 yards for his Raiders career.
